Christopher Ashman is an active member of the National Federation of the Blind since 2018 who strives to raise the expectations of blind people. After graduating from the Louisiana Center for the Blind, he has always had the passion of working with blind and visually impaired youth to increase their independence. He has volunteered with several independence training programs for blind children such as the NFB Bell Academy, Camp Ability and also worked with young adults who are blind and visually impaired, helping them to be an active member of society. Christopher has been involved with a number of community service groups since 2016, and is interested in being a part of the Civic Influencers team because he is committed to making Young voices matter.
