Jordan Thorton is a Senior Psychology Student at the illustrious Elizabeth City State University. Jordan is a member of the University’s Honors Program, the Delta Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the National Council of Negro Women, Incorporated, the Viking R.A.C.E. Program, the National Society of Leadership and Success, the TRIO Student Support Services Program, the Standford University Innovation Fellows Program, the Peer Wellness Ambassadors Program, and I currently serve as the 89th Miss Elizabeth City State University. She is interested in being a part of the Civic Influencers team is because she is passionate about educating her peers about civic engagement. In the Fall of 2022, she served as a civic engagement ambassador for her university. She had the pleasure of getting students registered to vote and educating them about voters’ education. Becoming a Civic Influencer will give her the platform to continuously do what she loves.
