Raised in the foothills of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Khamkay Inthavong (She/Her) is currently a senior at Adelphi University. She is studying International Business and Spanish in hopes of providing aid to immigrants and reducing poverty in under-developing countries. She currently serves as the Public Relations Officer in the Levermore Global Scholars program, a media specialist for the Adelphi Athletics Department, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, and an Admissions Ambassador for the University. Her passion for community outreach, social progress, and cross-cultural experiences align with Civic Influencers’ goals of empowering young people to center their collective voices and alter the landscape of opportunities to be equal for everyone. She aims to increase people’s engagement in the community and strengthen their voices in the public forum. Outside of work and school, Khamkay is a yogini, soft-boiled egg connoisseur, and comedy-film enthusiast.
