Kristina Aleksanyan is a Political Science student at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She is involved in the Pre-Law Women Association and the Dean’s Student Advisory Council at UNLV. She is interested in this position as teaching others about civic education is so important to her. Her parents are immigrants so she didn’t understand the importance of civic participation and education. Now, her goal is to help educate others who are in a similar position as her.
Founded in 2008, Civic Influencers uses ongoing research, innovation and evidence-based voter engagement racial justice strategies, including organizing, advocacy and education for youth, immigrants, and Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Disabled and Youth of Color (BIHDYoC) for a more equitable and inclusive democracy.
