Mary Liu is a freshman student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is currently working towards her Political Science degree. She started her journey of advocacy in her high school career, where she focused on helping her school, local government agencies, and national organizations. She believes the voices of every individual are extremely important, and these ideas of diversity create a healthy democratic society. Mary was interested in joining the Civic Influencers team because she wanted to do her part in creating a diverse, inclusive, and equal society.
