Valeria Garcia is a first-generation student and American. She attends Cochise College, works in the financial aid office at campus and is a member of PTK honor society. English is her second language; school was difficult for her, but she still manages and is currently studying psychology. She is passionate about democracy and the idea of youth raising their voices in an inclusive place where everyone is welcome.
Founded in 2008, Civic Influencers uses ongoing research, innovation and evidence-based voter engagement racial justice strategies, including organizing, advocacy and education for youth, immigrants, and Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Disabled and Youth of Color (BIHDYoC) for a more equitable and inclusive democracy.
