Our mission

To inspire the next generation of voters who will shape the future of our nation through data-driven engagement in political and civic life.

Who We Are

At Civic Influencers, we're more than just an organization – we're a movement. As a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) entity, we're dedicated to empowering young individuals to amplify their voices and make a tangible impact on our democracy.

Utilizing advanced data analytics, we strategically target “Tipping Point” campuses and communities where heightened civic engagement can truly shape the outcome of elections.

The Challenge

In recent years, the very foundation of our democracy has faced unprecedented threats. From the brazen attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election to the shocking events of January 6 at the Capitol Building, the urgency of our mission has never been clearer. Alarmingly, out of the 291 election deniers who ran for office in 2022, a staggering 191 emerged victorious. With the gutting of the Voting Rights Act and the passage of restrictive state laws, the fundamental right to vote – especially for young people – is under siege.

We've identified this trend as "generational gerrymandering" — a deliberate endeavor to silence the civic voices of our youth.

Our Approach

We are joyous and relentless in our pursuit of Youth, Immigrant, Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Disabled and Youth of Color civic and voting power to secure democracy, love and happiness for future generations.

Our Solution

At Civic Influencers, we engage a hyper-local approach on a national scale. Our primary goal? To mobilize and inspire young voters aged 18-29, leveraging the fact that over 4 million new eligible voters emerge annually in the U.S. We recognize that safeguarding democracy is not just a one-time effort but an ongoing relay, where each generation must ensure the seamless passage of this sacred right.

Our strategy encompasses two vital components:

  • Empowering Youth Leaders: We conduct comprehensive training sessions for hundreds of young individuals on campuses across the nation, equipping them with the tools to inspire their peers towards greater civic engagement.

  • Removing Barriers to Voting: Collaborating closely with campus administrations, we strive to streamline the voting process for students, making it more accessible and convenient.

Our Strategy

While most voter-engagement organizations tend to focus on big four-year colleges and universities, we use on-the-ground data to identify “Tipping Point” campuses that might otherwise be overlooked like:

  • Community colleges

  • Trade, technical, and vocational schools

  • People of Color Serving Institutions (PoCSIs)

  • Tribal Campuses

  • Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)

  • Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs)

This data-driven strategy allows us to pinpoint where our efforts can have the greatest impact. Through our pioneering Organizing, Advocacy, and Learning (OAL) program, we we train pro-democracy young leaders to engage their peers on campus, utilizing data and relational organizing to educate their peers on the critical significance of participating in the electoral process.

For us, there's no such thing as an "off year"

every moment is an opportunity to safeguard and strengthen our democracy.
